A body of work inhabiting a world somewhere between a Therapist's Room and one of Angela Carter’s unsettling Fairy Tales. The boundaries of Fantasy, Reality and Biography are blurred through work which questions the "Symmetry" or balance between Life and Death, Compassion and Predation.
Lifting the veil of the Subconscious, this work tackles the challenges of human intimacy and the state of the individual in relation to others in society. Through the use of Anthropomorphic Animals and Psychoanalytic Symbolism; Love, Grief and notions of a Contradictory Higher Power or Order are explored but ultimately left unanswered — only questions remain, inviting the reader to participate in pondering them.
